For the practitioners of the Baha’i religion, today is a day to observe one of their prophets. It is the day Bab was born on November 9, 1819, in Shiraz, Persia. Originally named Siyyid Ali Muhammad, Ban is considered the herald of the Baha’i faith. No work is performed on this day by the faithful.
