About National Prematurity Awareness Month

DESCRIPTION:
Prematurity Awareness Month is sponsored by the March of Dimes and addresses the issues leading to premature birth and its prevention. The campaign begins each year and kicks off with the announcement of the Premature Birth Report Card. Health care providers throughout the country offer prenatal services and screenings. Premature birth occurs before 37 weeks gestation.
