DESCRIPTION:
Children Impacted by a Parent's Cancer Month seeks to support children and families where one or more parent is undergoing cancer treatment, living in remission, or has died. This impact on a young life can be devastating, leading to isolation, lower academic scores, and a loss of childhood. Resources are available to help children and families cope. Outreach during the month serves families, schools, health care, and mental health professionals.
