DESCRIPTION:
Alfredo Di Lelio owned a small restaurant in Rome in 1914. After his first son's birth, his wife Ines found it challenging to eat, and to help her, he created a dish of noodles, cheese, and butter. Ines loved the dish and insisted it be placed on the restaurant's menu; at the same time, their second son, named after his father, was born.
Visit Rome today, and you can still eat the original Fettuccini Alfredo at Alfredo's restaurant, L' Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante.
