With over 40,000 visitors each year, get your Viking on and celebrate Viking contributions to English history. The Vikings first arrived in England during the seventh century. Jorvik Viking Festival is based upon the Jolablot celebration marking the ending of struggle through winter and the approach of spring. This event first ran in 1983.
