Classical Music Month commemorates the beauty of classical music and its contributions to civilization. Proclaimed by then-President Clinton on August 22, 1994, this month honors the many composers, singers, and performers of classical music.
With Congress and under the House Joint Resolution 239, September became Classical Music Month permanently.
