DESCRIPTION:
Observed in China for over 2500 years and in Taiwan since 1939, Teachers' Day allows students to show their appreciation to educators through gifts and gratitude. September 10 became the official date in 1985 for China, and Taiwan celebrates September 28, the birthdate of Confucius in the Gregorian calendar. It is a day off for students and teachers in the country.
