It looks like you made it! Flu season south of the equator is over for this year.
Influenza activity peaks at the end of August in most regions in Australia, with Tasmania and the Northern Territory experiencing a late rise. Meanwhile, Western AU reports increased activity from mid-August through September.
Although the World Health Organization has reported that influenza activity has continued to decline in all temperate countries of the southern hemisphere, that doesn't mean people shouldn't take the necessary precautions. Influenza-like illnesses have increased in many European countries.
