Brown dogs, like dogs of other colors, have been part of various legends and superstitions throughout history. In some cultures, brown dogs are seen as symbols of stability, reliability, and the earth, reflecting their color's grounding and nurturing aspects. They are sometimes associated with loyalty and trustworthiness in folklore, perhaps due to their commonality and familiarity.
