World Day Against Child Labor Day is sponsored by the International Program on the Elimination of Child Labour (IPEC). This day seeks to raise awareness of the issue of child labor worldwide. Each year focuses on a different theme. In 2015, education as a means to stop child labor was the topic of concentration.
IPEC falls under the International Labour Organization(ILO), which created this event in 1992 to eliminate child labor by providing means to countries to strengthen their efforts to combat child labor and promote global awareness of child labor. IPEC is the most extensive operation program of the International Labor Organization.
