DESCRIPTION:
National Day of Prayer for Law Enforcement was created in 2011 by the non-profit Wives Behind the Badge and occurs annually on the third Friday in June.
The day's purpose is to ask that people pause for a moment to pray for the peacekeepers in their town and that they may return home safe each night.
You may also simply thank your local police officer for his or her service.
