With the explosion of tablets, ebooks have risen in popularity over the past 20 years. They’ve been around since the beginning of the internet, first published as Word Documents and PDFs.
Today ebooks require programming skills to lay them out on multiple platforms. Many of the ebook distributors online have specials this month, allowing you to try an eBook if you’ve never read one or pick up something of interest.
Project Gutenberg (https://www.gutenberg.org), an online repository and source for classics literature, is accessible in English, Portuguese, German and French.
