DESCRIPTION:

National Grammar Day was first celebrated in 2008 when Martha Brockenbrough, author of "Things That Make Us [Sic]" and founder of the Society for the Promotion of Good Grammar, created it.

With social media and reducing communication to minimal characters, people need to remember the importance of speaking and writing correctly. How people use language is a crucial indicator of their level of education, social status, and income. Knowing how to speak and write properly is essential in one's career and life. Today is a day to focus on what you say and how you say it. Is there room for improvement?
