French Bread Day celebrates one of the world's favorite styles of bread. French bread is defined by its lack of fats and strict adherence to old-world craftsmanship, and it uses no fats in its baking. It is simple: flour, yeast, salt, and water.
In 1993 the government of France passed the French Bread Law to ensure French bread never includes anything you don't want in it, like preservatives, chemicals, and fat. Celebrate today by picking up a fresh loaf of traditional French bread.
