Each year in early March we celebrate National White Chocolate Cheesecake Day.
This ancient dessert originally used just cheese, honey and flour. Over the centuries the recipe has evolved to include cream cheese, fresh cheese, graham crackers and sugar. The first known cheese cakes date back to 776 B.C. when Olympic athletes were given cheesecake to re-energize them before competing. Today, cheesecake is one of the most beloved desserts in the world.
