National Justice For Animals Week was founded in 2008 by the Animal Legal Defense Fund. It typically occurs in mid-February.
The week draws attention to animal cruelty and encourages reporting such to the proper authorities, as well as to honor the memories of those animals who didn’t survive.
The Animal Legal Defense Fund website includes several tools participants can use to get involved.
