About the Islamic Day of Laylat al-Bara'a

DESCRIPTION:
Night of Forgiveness, or Laylat al Bara’a, is an Islamic observance. Muslims believe God writes the following year’s destiny for each man, woman, or child on this night. Typically, Muslims stay awake all night praying and commemorating the deceased.
For Shia Muslims, this is the birthdate of Imam al-Mahdi, the final imam, in 869 AD.
