Fry an Egg on the Sidewalk Day is a bit of a joke, preying on an old wives tale. July is one of the hottest months in the United States.
Some regions of the US have Fry an Egg on the Sidewalk events where lots of people participate. If you live in Alaska, chances are slim you can do this, but if you're sweating for most of the day and want to try something different, consider giving this holiday a chance!
Before you try this and get disappointed, please know you are about to fail in your attempt. Eggs need a temperature of 158°F (70°C) to become solid. If you are a human, you cannot survive that heat, and although your little experiment is bound to fail, who said it wouldn't be fun to try it out anyway?
