Fudge Day is the holiday for fudge lovers (so basically all of us, or nearly all of us).
The earliest written account of fudge is noted in 1886 and found in a letter written by Emelyn Hartridge. A student of Vassar College, she wrote about the fudge her cousin made and sold for 40 cents a pound. She obtained a copy of the recipe and produced 30 pounds for the senior auction at the college.
