DESCRIPTION:
Particularly in Roman Catholic and Protestant majority countries, Holy Week covers Palm Sunday through Holy Saturday, the day before Easter. This is a week-long celebration in the Philippines, Central and South America, Palestine, Italy, Spain, Lebanon and within devote Christian communities throughout the globe (Orthodox Christians celebrate one week later). In many of these countries festivals occur throughout the week and it is a holiday.
