It is a time of year Americans either anticipates or dread, depending upon what is on the docket and their opinions. Historically, the last two weeks of June see a flood of US Supreme Court decisions posted. The Supreme Court's decisions have an enormous impact on the lives of ordinary Americans, whether the decision on Roe v Wade in 1973, its Dobbs decision in 2022 erasing Roe, or the Citizen's United Decision of 2010, which created PACs to fund political campaigns. This two-week period in June leads to a three-month quiet period, in which no conferences or arguments are heard until October. Typically, a flurry of Supreme Court decisions will be handed down within these weeks.
