About National Cold Cuts Day

DESCRIPTION:
Cold cuts are pre-cooked, cured, sliced meats and have been around since the 17th century.
First created by Ivan and Petar Gavrilovic, these meats withstood time and became a favorite of the military. Cold cuts include bologna, salami, pastrami, head cheese, liverwurst, olive loaf, and a host of other meats, including turkey, beef, chicken, pork, and combinations.
This unofficial event occurs each year. Many delis and sandwich shops will run specials in celebration.
What is the best way to celebrate? Enjoy some cold cuts.
