National Novel Writing Month focuses on the creative way to keep on writing.
On the first day of the month, participants begin a 50,000-word novel to pass to the organizers by 11:59 PM on November 30.
This event started in July 1999 with only 21 participants, but the number of participants has increased to over 50,000 a year.
The first novel is believed to have been written around 2000 BC.
