DESCRIPTION:
Physicians Assistant Day occurs on the anniversary of the first Physician Assistant's graduation from Duke University on October 6, 1967.
The idea for the profession came two years prior, in 1965. Created by Dr. Eugene Stead at the Duke Medical Center, hundreds of thousands of people today work as physician's assistants.
