About National Candy Corn Day

DESCRIPTION:
National Candy Corn Day honors the traditional Halloween confection shaped like a kernel of corn, the candy corn.
George Renninger invented the candy corn in 1880 at the Wunderle Candy Company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
In 1898, the Goelitz Confectionery Company of Germany began making them. Jelly Belly acquired Goelitz in the US, and Candy Corns have been Halloween favorites for over a century, bringing joy (and work for dentists) ever since!
