November is Child Safety Protection Month. It provides an opportunity for parents to review home safety precautions as they relate to their children.
Parents are encouraged to create contingency plans outlining options and tasks should a child become endangered. Examples include what to do if poison is ingested? How to respond if furniture tips over. What children should do in a fire, etc.
Originally sponsored by the National Network for Child Care, this organization no longer exists online. The month continues to be observed without an official sponsor.
