Button Day celebrates that indispensable addition to clothing in the 13th Century called the button. Buttons were considered a sign of wealth and often made of gold, silver, shells, jewels and a variety of sought after materials.
This unofficial holiday provides the perfect excuse to seek out unique buttons on clothing or around the home.
