DESCRIPTION:
One of the best ways to protect yourself from fake news and manipulation is to go through your 'Friends' list on your social media accounts. Social media posts can cost you your job, lose real relationships or prevent you from getting job interviews. Sometimes, they can get you in trouble with the law or government. Because of this, you want to make sure your posts are only seen by people you actually know and trust. Check your privacy settings. Get rid of anyone who you don't know today.
Checking for bots: Is there anyone you don't recognize? Are they using an avatar instead of a photo? Are the number of posts they do extreme (active users will do 2-10 posts a day, not hundreds.) If they're showing thousands of posts, are fairly new accounts, or you don't know them, it's possible they are a bot and you're being targeted. Take the necessary action on unfriend day.
