DESCRIPTION:
Plants form the foundation for all life on Earth. They create ecosystem functions and food security, clean the air, keep hillsides in place, provide shelter, safety and joy. The health of plants is as essential to feeding the world as it is to allowing it to breathe and prosper.
The United Nations declares 2020 as the Year of Plant Health and will focus on a variety of issues including protecting the environment, forests and biodiversity from plant pests; addressing the effects of climate change on plants and ecosystems as well as supporting efforts to end hunger, malnutrition and poverty.
