Magha Puja, M?gha P?j?, Makha Bucha or the Full Moon of Tabodwe is a Buddhist holy day celebrated at the full moon during the month of M?gha in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Myanmar. It celebrates the anniversary of the gathering of 1250 disciples with the Buddha, absent an invitation in 531BC.
Magha Puja is a public holiday. Observant Buddhist refrain from sinning and spend the day purifying their minds and souls.
