DESCRIPTION:
First run in 2015 and part of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), the United Nation's Global Road Safety week seeks to reduce and eliminate unnecessary traffic deaths and casualties the world over. Tactics include speed management, government leadership, improved infrastructure, vehicle safety standards, law enforcement and post crash survival.
Someone in the world dies in a road accident every 23 seconds. The goal of road safety week is to cut this in half by 2020.
