National Burns Awareness Month seeks to teach Australians burn prevention and the correct first aid treatment for burns. Winter is just beginning, which means an increased use of candles, fireplaces, heaters and ovens, not to mention hot water and other conveniences. See the Kidsafe website for a variety of brochures, tip sheets and information on burns and burn prevention.
