DESCRIPTION:
This community building initiative is promoted by and marking the anniversary of British parliament member Jo Cox's birthday (Born June 22, 1974). Cox was murdered June 16, 2016 and was strong supporter of immigrant rights, Palestinian rights and the BDS campaign to end apartheid in Israel. The idea of The Great Get Together is to get to know your neighbors and realize that as people, we have more in common than we have differences.
This event first ran in 2017.
