DESCRIPTION:
Shabbat Chazon, or the Shabbat of Vision, is the Haftarah (Tanakh sections) read on the Saturday before the fast of Tisha B'Av, which mourns the destruction of the two temples of the Hebrew faith.
Shabbat is Sabbath or Saturday in Hebrew. Shabbat Chazon is sometimes called the "Black Shabbat" as it is the saddest of the year.
The Jewish Shabbat begins at sundown on Friday and ends at sunset on Saturday.
