DESCRIPTION:
Satchmo Summerfest lights up New Orleans, Louisiana's French Quarter, each summer and features food, music, and Southern jazz culture. The entire festival is in the spirit of the legendary International Ambassador of Jazz, Louis Armstrong, whose nickname was Satchmo. He was born on August 4, 1901.
Satchmo Summerfest is one of the most popular events in the city after Mardi Gras.
