"The purpose of GOE (Growth. Overcome. Empower) Day is to provide community support, education, and space for victims, supporters, community-at-large, or anyone who is working on their own healing journey to share experiences that might help others survive trauma.
National G.O.E. Day is recognized as the Sunday of the first full weekend in October. This day, Growth. Overcome. Empower. Day, is to address all types of abuse, including domestic violence, and offer opportunities for survivors to help others by sharing stories of how they've overcome."
