Held to mark the anniversary of Miguel de Cervantes' baptism, October 9, 1547, Semana Cervantina is a week-long celebration of the poet and his work in Madrid, Spain. You know his work. Ever heard of Don Quixote? This is the creator of that enduring character and work. Semana Cervantina includes Medieval Market, street performances, food, drinks, and readings of his work are on full display during the festivities.
