DESCRIPTION:
As part of the drive for inclusion in definitions of gender and sexual orientation and to promote greater visibility and acceptance of their lifestyle, a community of asexual persons (those with a lack of sexual attraction or absent sexual desire) created ACE WEEK. It seeks to encourage support in the LGBTQ+ community for all versions of asexuality.
This event was first held in 2010 and is planned annually during the last week of October. Sexual orientation is defined as Heterosexual, Homosexual, Bisexual, and Asexual.
