DESCRIPTION:
National Children’s Grief Awareness Day was created by the Highmark Caring Place and occurs on the third Thursday of November, one week before Thanksgiving.
The purpose is to focus on the support needs of a grieving child impacted by the death of a loved one. As the holidays approach, this is often the most challenging time for children and adults who have lost a loved one in the past few years.
