Nearly fifteen people die from falling icicles each year, and marketing company Madison Worldwide launched Falling Ice Safety Day in 2018 to bring attention to this danger. Homeowners should knock icicles down, and pedestrians must avoid buildings with hanging icicles. A single icicle can weigh over 30-40 pounds; if it falls on your head, it can kill you. Remember to look up in cold climates and stay alive.
