DESCRIPTION:
Public Radio Broadcasting Day marks the anniversary of the first public radio broadcast on January 13, 1910.
This broadcast was an experimental transmission of a live performance of opera singers Riccardo Martin, Emmy Destinn, and Enrico Caruso, who played Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci at the Metropolitan Opera House (Lincoln Center) in New York City.
