DESCRIPTION:
Every day women lose their life to Cervical Cancer, and nine are diagnosed with it in the United Kingdom. Yet 75% of instances can be prevented with an annual pap smear and the HPV vaccination if you're a girl between 11 and 18. European Cervical Cancer Awareness Week is about educating women about what they can do to avoid this cancer and how to recognize its signs.
European Cervical Cancer Prevention Week originally ran in the United Kingdom and is now observed throughout the European Union.
