Thank a Plugin Developer Day was created by WordPress developer and techie Matt Mullenweg in 2009.
Plugin Developers, by that year, had already produced over 4000 plugins that make building websites for the average person easy and economical. The day continues to honor those techies who make life easier for the rest of us, who are often a bit technologically challenged.
