DESCRIPTION:
First held in 2016 in the UK and 2017 in Australia, Infant Mental Health Awareness Week seeks to raise awareness among policymakers, professionals, and parents about the over-arching impact upon a child’s life resulting from their experience as a baby and toddler. Research confirms a direct link between infant parent-child bonding or attachment difficulties and psychiatric disorders in later life. This week includes parental and professional workshops, outreach, and tools throughout both nations.
