National Filet Mignon Day ("tender fillet" in French) commemorates the steak cut thought by many to be the best part of the cow. Celebrate by enjoying a juicy filet with family and friends.
The filet mignon is a cut from the small end of the beef tenderloin. Since it is derived from the most tender part of the steer, this cut is the most expensive.
