DESCRIPTION:
Ekadashi is a sacred observance in the Hindu faith celebrated twice a month.
The focus of Ekadashi is the worship of the Lord Vishnu. Shravana Putrada Ekadashi falls on the 11th day of the waxing moon during the Hindu month of Shravan (Sawan).
Devotees perform Putrada Ekadashi for salvation from sin. Other activities include fasting and the worship of Vishnu by married couples wishing to have a son.
