DESCRIPTION:
PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) Awareness Day first ran from 2010-2013. In 2014 the US Congress made this a month long event, with an awareness day on June 27. It has since gone world wide.
PTSD month supported by the National Center for PTSD (NCPTSD). This event encourages people become aware of the signs of PTSD and provide effective treatments for the disease.
Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome (PTSD) is an anxiety disorder, which manifests after a person is exposed to a traumatic event including rape, being forcibly separated from your parents, war, being a victim of crime, bullying or domestic violence.
