Arabic is one of the six official languages of the United Nations, and one of three surviving Semitic languages. The other official languages of the United Nations are: Chinese, Spanish, Russian, French and English. Each language gets its own day each year. Arabic is the 4th most spoken language in the world after Mandarine, Spanish, and English.
