Arabic is one of the six official languages of the United Nations and one of three surviving Semitic languages. The other official languages of the United Nations are Chinese, Spanish, Russian, French, and English. Each language gets its day each year. Arabic is the fourth most spoken language in the world after Mandarin, Spanish, and English.
