National Epilepsy Week seeks to open the conversation and remove the stigma and fear associated with discussing and having epilepsy. One in five persons with epilepsy in the United Kingdom are uncomfortable to speak with their friends and family about their condition.
This week encourages people to understand the disorder and support the fight against the misconceptions, discrimination and isolation facing those who live with epilepsy.
